We decided to make our own take on this dish with roasted red peppers and wildflower honey. It took us exactly 6 minutes to kill off the entire thing.
If you haven't tried out honey and cheese together, this is a terrific place to start. Savory, sweet, and simple. Enjoy!
Baked Chevre with Roasted Red Peppers and Honey
4 oz chevre (goat cheese), room temperature
1 Tbs roasted red pepper, chopped
1 Tbs HONEY
warm baguette slices or crostini for serving
Preheat the oven to 350 F.
In a small bowl, blend the goat cheese and red pepper with a fork until combined. Pack into a small ramekin with the goat cheese mixture and then bake for 15-20 minutes or until bubbling and starting to brown on the edges. Remove from the oven and drizzle the honey over the top. Serve immediately with fresh bread or toasts.
